About Helen
The sound of a piano key striking the felt strings brings me right back to age 8 when I began my musical life. My conservatory discipline from USC Thornton combined with 13 years of practice allows me to guide those returning to the instrument with clarity. I focus on developing HAND INDEPENDENCE, solidifying grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity, and refining classical repertoire.
Ear training and sight transposition become natural habits under my calm supervision. You will find that returning to the bench is a rewarding journey when supported by structured, thoughtful feedback. I look forward to helping you rediscover your musical voice.

Stepping back into your first lesson, you will find a space free from judgment regarding what you may have forgotten over the years. We examine your current technique, addressing any rust while building a sustainable path forward.
Monthly progress trackers shared with parents ensure that everyone stays aligned with the goals we set. This approach mirrors the rigor of my MMus training while remaining accessible for adult learners and students from age 6. I rely on my 13 years of teaching to provide simple, actionable adjustments that make a significant difference. Playing the piano should be a joyful, orderly return to form.
