About Lucia
I'm Lucia, a young high school literature teacher. I started giving private tutoring several years ago, to which for a couple of years I have added classroom teaching.
Despite working at school, I did not want to abandon private teaching: I believe, in fact, that it is one of the best opportunities to be able to contribute to the growth of a student.
In doing so, in fact, not only can progress and difficulties be closely monitored, but it is also possible to better understand the pupil's personality, which methods can help the students and allow them to discover aspects of a subject that are close to his personality.
I believe that my best qualities as a teacher are empathy and patience: only by supporting students in their path and respecting his times, can we work well together.

During the first lesson I dedicate myself to the initial assessment of the student's situation, making an initial diagnosis on his approach to the subject. A recovery and strengthening program is then developed based on the student's goals. If the student has no background in the subject, we can start from the scratch togethere.
Each classical language lesson is based on the same structure:
- Reading, analysis and translation of a text;
- Review of declensions and conjugations;
- Review of complements and prepositions;
- Explanations / Clarifications on new and old topics.
Depending on the student's needs, the timing and methods dedicated to each phase are adapted and revised.
Each Italian language lesson is based on a variable structure depending on the level of the student, but can include: reading of texts, spelling and grammar exercises, writing tests, identification of rhetorical elements, etc.
Each literature lesson (classic or Italian) instead foresees a triple phase. In a first phase the student will expose his knowledge and his doubts, while at a later time I will add other elements that can help him in the exposition and acquisition of the topic. Finally, the student will repeat the presentation, trying to implement what he has learned during the lesson.
