About Ruaridh
Hello! My name is Ruaridh. I've been playing the clarinet for 14+ years and did my formal classical training at the Royal Northern College of Music (BMus) and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (MMus). I am currently a freelance performer and teacher and so have played with various orchestras/ensembles around the UK, including most recently playing Guest Principal Clarinet with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. I also play various other styles outside of the western classical realm too, such as Klezmer and world music, so I am always open to students who might prefer a less classically focused programme of lessons. Other teaching experience involves having conducted sectional rehearsals for Glasgow Strathclyde University Wind Band, and on repeat occasions tutoring young musicians on the National youth Orchestra of Scotland's Training Ensemble programme (as their "Clarinet Ambassador")
