About Ali
I am a civil engineering researcher. I have been giving private lessons in geotechnical engineering as well as different civil engineering subjects since 2016. I have been also working as a postgraduate teaching assistant at the University of Birmingham for different modules such as soil mechanics, fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering. I have an MSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering.

My teaching method is to explain the theory of each topic then move to tutorials and practical problems. I base my classes on providing many laboratory examples. I use many methods when teaching, that will benefit students and make them successful. My methods for quality maths instruction include using visuals, making connections, using formative assessments, and teaching strategic thinking

Perfect! Ali helped me with my soil mechanics module in year 2 (which I failed initially), my geotechnical engineering module in year 3 and also my final year intensive project in year 3 of my civil engineering degree. I really struggled with these modules and Ali really improved my knowledge by adjusting his teaching skills to fit my learning style. He delivered all my sessions online during the pandemic which I am truly grateful for. Ali is very knowledgeable in soil mechanics and is able to teach very effectively. He also helped me with solving questions to which I did not have solutions. Ali is an excellent tutor and is very attentive and organised too I strongly recommend contacting him as he truly saved my degree :)
