About Keiran
My name is Keiran. I was taught chess by my late teacher Mike Fox, the greatest man I’ve ever met. He recognised difficulties I had and how I struggled at school as well as with interacting with people as a child. He used several of my strengths and focused my energies onto becoming stronger at chess as well as a more rounded person. The students I currently teach have learning difficulties or have come from tremendous adversity. I’ve helped them to become stronger and more rounded people. Chess is huge in helping with mental health. It saved me and I want to help many more who are going through the same or similar adversities I went through growing up.
