About Kyra
My passion for Chemistry began with observing simple reactions in daily life and wanting to understand why substances behave the way they do. I completed a Bachelor’s degree followed by a Master’s in Chemical Engineering, which provided me with a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied chemistry. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students of all ages and abilities, helping them overcome challenges and discover the joy of learning through structured and patient instruction.
I believe that every student can succeed in Chemistry with clear guidance, relatable examples, and consistent practice. My teaching emphasises breaking down complex ideas into understandable steps, creating a calm and supportive environment, and encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. I focus on nurturing independent learning and confidence alongside academic growth.
Outside of teaching, I stay engaged with the chemical sciences by reading about innovations, attending workshops, and exploring real-life applications in industry and research. This allows me to bring up-to-date examples into lessons, making learning relevant and inspiring. Teaching Chemistry is deeply fulfilling because I see students grow from hesitation to mastery, gaining skills that extend beyond the classroom into practical problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Chemistry becomes engaging when students understand how atoms, molecules, and reactions work together instead of just memorising formulas and procedures. In my lessons, I focus on topics such as chemical bonding, reaction mechanisms, acids and bases, stoichiometry, and thermodynamics, explaining each concept in a clear, structured, and relatable way. I use step-by-step examples, real-world analogies, and interactive problem-solving exercises to ensure students see the practical relevance of each topic while building confidence in their understanding. This approach allows learners to progress steadily and gain clarity in complex concepts.
Each lesson is tailored to match the student’s current level and learning pace. Beginners are introduced to fundamental principles with simple explanations and hands-on exercises. Intermediate learners work on applying concepts to calculations, experimental analysis, and multi-step problem solving. Advanced students explore detailed mechanisms, numerical challenges, and critical thinking exercises that prepare them for exams and practical applications. Every session incorporates practice questions, discussion, and detailed feedback so students can continuously improve and retain knowledge effectively.
Chemistry also helps learners develop logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and precision. As students become more familiar with reactions and concepts, they gain confidence in solving problems independently and applying their knowledge in practical contexts. My goal is to make Chemistry accessible, interesting, and empowering so that every student feels capable, motivated, and enthusiastic about exploring the subject’s deeper connections.
