About Hazel
My love for chemistry began with the fascination of how tiny particles create everything we interact with. This curiosity eventually shaped my journey into teaching, and for eight years I have had the privilege of helping students discover the beauty and logic of chemistry. Guiding learners through this subject brings me immense joy, especially when I see their confidence grow and their understanding deepen. Teaching allows me to share my passion while supporting each student’s unique path toward academic success. My teaching style is calm, structured, and deeply supportive. I break complex topics into manageable steps, ensuring that students never feel overwhelmed. I believe every learner deserves a patient and understanding environment where they can ask questions freely and progress at their own pace. My values include clarity, empathy, and consistency, which help students feel comfortable and motivated throughout their lessons. By adapting explanations and exercises to individual learning styles, I create a personalized approach that builds both knowledge and confidence. Outside of teaching, I continue expanding my understanding of chemistry through reading, experiments, and collaboration with peers in scientific fields. Staying updated helps me bring fresh insights and relevant examples into my lessons. Teaching chemistry is incredibly meaningful for me because it allows me to foster intellectual curiosity and help students appreciate the scientific patterns that shape our world. Seeing learners grow into confident, thoughtful individuals is what makes this work so rewarding.

Chemistry becomes meaningful when students begin to see how atoms, reactions, and scientific principles shape the world around them. My lessons create an inviting space where learners feel supported, inspired, and encouraged to explore chemical ideas with curiosity and clarity. I aim to make chemistry approachable by connecting theory with real-world examples, practical reasoning, and relatable explanations. Whether exploring basic structures or complex reaction pathways, every session emphasizes understanding, confidence, and academic growth. I focus on making students feel capable, motivated, and engaged so they can navigate chemistry with assurance and appreciation.
For beginners, lessons cover foundational ideas such as atomic structure, bonding, periodic trends, and simple reactions. Intermediate learners work on stoichiometry, thermochemistry, equilibrium, acids and bases, and laboratory interpretation. Advanced students explore organic mechanisms, kinetics, electrochemistry, and exam or assignment preparation tailored to their curriculum. My approach combines diagrams, step-by-step reasoning, past paper practice, and guided examples to help students absorb concepts effectively. Every session is structured to meet the learner’s individual pace, ensuring steady progress and a strong sense of achievement.
Chemistry lessons aim not only to improve academic performance but also to shape deeper understanding and long-term confidence. Many of my students grow from hesitant learners into capable thinkers who can break down complex questions with clarity. By strengthening reasoning skills, fostering scientific curiosity, and building resilience, I help students feel empowered in their studies. My goal is to ensure each learner walks away with strong conceptual knowledge, improved problem-solving ability, and a genuine connection to the subject.
