My name is Kayla. I am currently a sophomore at Mercer University. I am an honor high school graduate. I like to read and spend time with my family. I have 5+ years of experience in tutoring. I love helping students to understand various subjects they may be struggling in.

First, I like to see what the student is struggling with. Then from there we make a goal to work toward. For example, if the student is struggling with math and keeps getting C's on their tests, we will make a goal to achieve a B on the next test and we work towards that goal in each session. I like to start out each tutoring session by having the student tell me what homework and assessments they have for that class that week. Then from there they tell me what they are struggling with or what they need me to help explain to them. We will then begin doing practice problems and I will help them with their homework, and finally we will study for the assessment.
