About Vanessa
I earned a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, gaining deep expertise in molecular interactions, reaction mechanisms, and laboratory methodology. Over 11 years of teaching, I have worked with students across academic levels, from high school to college, helping them connect theoretical chemistry with experimental applications. My experience includes guiding learners in analytical reasoning, structural problem-solving, and real-world chemistry applications. My teaching style emphasises clarity, patience, and individualised support. I provide structured explanations, step-by-step problem-solving guidance, and real-world examples to make concepts tangible. I encourage students to ask questions, explore independently, and develop critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom. Outside teaching, I continue research and study in synthetic chemistry, green chemistry innovations, and biochemical applications. These experiences allow me to bring contemporary insights into my lessons. Watching students progress from uncertainty to confident, capable chemists is deeply rewarding, as they gain both practical skills and a meaningful understanding of the molecular world around them.

My chemistry lessons are structured to help students develop both conceptual understanding and practical proficiency.
