About Kennys
I have two years of tutoring experience in chemistry and mathematics, and I am currently studying Chemistry at the University of Queensland. I enjoy tutoring because it is not only about earning money, but also about helping others understand subjects that may seem difficult at first. I like sharing my own way of understanding key concepts and helping students build their own understanding step by step. It is always rewarding to see students become more confident after they truly understand a topic. Teaching also helps me think about chemistry and mathematics in new ways, which is one of the reasons I really enjoy being a tutor.

My teaching method focuses on helping students understand key concepts in a simple and clear way, rather than memorising complicated textbook definitions. I usually explain the main ideas first, then use examples and practice questions to help students apply and strengthen their understanding. Lessons can be adjusted and customised based on the student’s school content, homework, assignments, exams and learning goals. A typical lesson is 60 minutes. I am currently studying Chemistry at the University of Queensland, and my lessons are suitable for Years 7–12 students, as well as students who need support with basic university chemistry.
