About Henry

As an international educational consultant and qualified engineer, I have dedicated over a quarter of a century to guiding high-achieving students toward academic excellence in international settings. My career has been built within the ecosystem of the most demanding international programs, specializing in performance optimization for A-Level Chemistry, IB Chemistry HL, and AP Chemistry. My role is not that of a conventional tutor; I approach learning from a strategic and analytical perspective, transforming the inherent rigor of engineering into an accessible and predictable roadmap for the student. Over these 25+ years, I have worked closely with families and students from diverse global backgrounds, giving me a deep understanding of the time management challenges and psychological pressures inherent in these programs. My commitment focuses on developing not only a profound conceptual mastery of thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium, and organic chemistry mechanisms, but also the methodological confidence needed to present effectively to an examining board. It is essential to reiterate that all my professional activity, support materials and communication channels with families are managed entirely in English, maintaining the standard of immersion and excellence that this level requires.

After more than a quarter of a century preparing students in science and engineering, I have learned that success in competitive chemistry depends on a precise understanding of the specific criteria of each assessment system. My work in the virtual classroom goes far beyond answering recurring questions; I teach students to structure their analytical thinking from a rigorous engineering perspective, empowering them to tackle complex problems with absolute clarity. As this is a premium international consulting service, both the classes and all direct communication with families are conducted exclusively in English.

I design the sessions based on the deconstruction of past papers, a complete mastery of the marking schemes, and the strategic optimization of the practical and research components of each program. We analyze, step by step, the problem-solving methodologies and how to translate them onto paper to strictly adhere to the official rubrics. I offer a proven roadmap specifically designed to achieve the highest possible grade in each of the international frameworks:

• A-Levels: Comprehensive coverage of A-Level Chemistry modules for the highest grade of A*, mastering advanced stoichiometry, chemical kinetics calculations, acid-base equilibria, and the complex organic synthesis routes required by examining boards.

• International Baccalaureate (IB): Comprehensive, advanced-level approach to the Chemistry HL program for the highest grade of 7, rigorously mastering chemical thermodynamics (entropy and Gibbs free energy), Born-Haber cycles, advanced chemical kinetics, redox processes, and organic reaction mechanisms, with engineering-level technical support for Scientific Inquiry (Internal Assessment - IA).

• Advanced Placement (AP): Intensive preparation for the highest grade of 5 in AP Chemistry, training in the quantitative problem-solving and analytical precision required for free-response questions (FRQs). We focus extensively on advanced solubility equilibria (solubility product constant and common ion effect), cell potential under non-standard conditions (Nernst equation), deviations from ideal gases with Maxwell-Boltzmann distributions, and structural justifications based on particle-level diagrams.

I maintain a direct and transparent communication channel with families to coordinate progress. My methodology provides a rigorous structure and a proven roadmap to academic excellence, always under the clear premise that the actual result is the fruit of the student's daily effort and commitment.

The specified fee applies to one 50-minute virtual classroom session.

The free session is dedicated exclusively to an academic consultation, a baseline competency assessment (curriculum mapping), and technical calibration of the digital environment (checking connection speeds, optimizing videoconferencing software, and configuring the interactive virtual whiteboard); it has a strict duration of 30 minutes. No active teaching or instruction takes place during this initial call.
