About Blake
My interest in chemistry began when I first studied how atoms combine to form different substances. I became fascinated by the way chemical reactions can transform materials and explain many everyday processes. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue advanced education in chemistry and complete a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, where I studied organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and laboratory techniques.
During my 8 years of teaching, I have worked with students who wanted to improve their understanding of chemistry and strengthen their problem-solving abilities. Some learners needed help with foundational concepts, while others aimed to develop deeper analytical skills. My teaching style focuses on clear explanations and structured learning so students can build confidence gradually.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading about scientific research and developments in materials science and environmental chemistry. These interests help me bring interesting examples into my lessons. Teaching chemistry is fulfilling because I see students become more curious about how substances interact and how chemical science explains the world around us.

My chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand how matter is structured and how substances interact during chemical reactions. Many students initially feel chemistry is complicated because formulas and equations appear difficult to interpret. In my lessons we begin with fundamental ideas such as atoms, elements, compounds, and the organization of the periodic table. These topics help students build a clear understanding of how chemical substances are formed.
As learners develop confidence, lessons gradually expand to include chemical bonding, reaction types, and balancing equations. I guide students through examples that demonstrate how chemical reactions occur and how they can be represented through equations. Students practice solving problems step by step so they can strengthen their analytical skills and develop confidence in interpreting chemical information.
My goal is to help students see chemistry as a logical and meaningful subject rather than something that must be memorized without understanding. Lessons emphasize clear explanations and structured reasoning so learners can understand why reactions happen. Over time students become more comfortable analyzing chemical processes and recognizing how chemistry explains many real-world phenomena.
