About Jade
My fascination with chemistry began in high school when I was intrigued by how substances interact, transform, and create new materials. This passion motivated me to pursue a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, where I explored synthesis, reaction mechanisms, and molecular interactions in depth. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided students from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop not only conceptual understanding but also practical skills, laboratory confidence, and an appreciation for the beauty of chemical science.
I emphasize an approachable, structured, and interactive teaching style. Beginners build a foundation through clear explanations, simple experiments, and illustrative examples. Intermediate students strengthen problem-solving, reaction analysis, and laboratory data interpretation skills. Advanced learners explore complex synthesis, spectroscopy, and independent experimentation. I create an environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make observations, and learn through guided discovery, ensuring confidence at every level.
Outside teaching, I continually explore scientific research, laboratory advancements, and contemporary applications of chemistry in pharmaceuticals, materials science, and environmental studies. Incorporating these insights into lessons helps students see the real-world relevance of their learning and connects abstract concepts to practical experiences. Watching students progress from curiosity and uncertainty to competence, curiosity, and genuine excitement about chemistry is immensely rewarding. My ultimate aim is to inspire learners to engage critically, think creatively, and embrace chemistry with both knowledge and enthusiasm that lasts well beyond the classroom.

Chemistry becomes truly engaging when students can connect theoretical concepts with real-world phenomena. My lessons cover atomic and molecular structures, chemical bonding, reactions, stoichiometry, organic and inorganic chemistry, and laboratory techniques. Beginners focus on understanding elements, compounds, basic reactions, and safe laboratory practices, laying a strong foundation for scientific reasoning. Intermediate learners delve deeper into reaction mechanisms, chemical equations, molecular interactions, and laboratory data analysis, strengthening analytical skills and conceptual understanding. Advanced learners explore kinetics, thermodynamics, organic synthesis, spectroscopy, and experimental design to develop independent problem-solving abilities and research-oriented thinking.
I structure lessons to build confidence, logical reasoning, and practical proficiency. Each session incorporates demonstrations, experiments, real-life examples, and interactive problem-solving. Students are encouraged to ask questions, hypothesize outcomes, and analyze results critically. Exercises are designed to progressively challenge learners while providing guidance and support, ensuring that every concept is understood thoroughly. By focusing on both theory and application, students gain a comprehensive perspective of chemistry that extends beyond textbooks into practical understanding and everyday relevance.
Learning chemistry not only improves academic performance but also cultivates critical thinking, observation skills, and intellectual curiosity. Students develop confidence in analyzing problems, predicting reactions, and understanding complex systems. My goal is to inspire learners to approach chemistry with enthusiasm, think analytically, and develop skills that are applicable in laboratory settings, academic projects, and real-world scientific contexts.
