About Cory
My interest in chemistry began with curiosity about how substances interact, transform, and affect the world. I earned a B.Sc in Chemical Science and an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, developing expertise in chemical principles, molecular interactions, and analytical techniques. Over 10 years, I have taught learners of diverse backgrounds, helping them achieve conceptual clarity, practical skills, and confidence in chemistry.
I teach through hands-on exercises, visualizations, real-world examples, and iterative problem-solving. Many students struggle with abstract concepts or complex calculations, so I provide structured guidance, tailored explanations, and practical illustrations to ensure understanding. Lessons are customized to the learner’s pace, goals, and learning style, promoting competence and curiosity.
Outside teaching, I engage in laboratory research, chemical analysis, and scientific outreach. Teaching chemistry is highly rewarding because I witness students develop independent thinking, problem-solving ability, and a deep appreciation for molecular science. Supporting learners in becoming confident, knowledgeable, and inquisitive chemists is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.
