About Elizabeth
I'm Elizabeth! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with my BS in Chemistry. Since then, I have gained extensive experience in various corporate roles. However, I have always been most passionate about helping others understand complex mathematical concepts, whether by tutoring students in algebra or assisting friends in completing their own mathematics courses.
Upon my oldest son's readiness for school, I chose to leave the corporate world to provide him with a home education. This decision has allowed me to discover my true passion for teaching and observing learners of all ages grasp difficult concepts for the first time. I take pride in working diligently to achieve these moments, even when they require multiple explanations and examples.
Through home educating my four children, I have honed my ability to employ various teaching techniques to cater to each child's individual needs while simultaneously challenging them to minimize frustration and stress. Additionally, I have had the privilege of teaching multiple co-op classes, including Physics, Chemistry, Health, and Physical Science. By utilizing the same teaching approach of meeting students where they are and balancing challenging work with reinforcing confidence, I have seen similar success in my co-op students.

I'm Elizabeth and I provide one on one tutoring individualized for each student based on their unique needs and learning style. Through homeschooling my own children, I have learned to meet each of my children's individual educational needs, help them overcome their individual struggles, and ultimately thrive in all their academic endeavors. Helping students have their own "Aha moment" is truly the most rewarding experience and something I thrive to help each of my students achieve.

Elizabeth is a wonderful tutor! She currently helps my 6 and 12 year old with their math twice a week and does a great job meeting them where they are.
