I have been tutoring for over 10 years at the college and high school levels. I have taught over 150 students, a lot of whom had a significant grade improvement to at least a B average. My academic background is wide and I have a lot of experience learning different subjects. Not only do I have expertise in various subjects, I have mastered the most effective and efficient learning strategies that allow maximum recall and true understanding of any concept. Beyond just teaching you a specific subject, I will show you how to be an effective learner and give you the tools to have a successful academic career.

I am a graduate student finishing my medical training (doctor of medicine). I also have a have earned degrees in chemistry, biology, and biomedical engineering. I have a good command of the following subjects: cell and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, physics, math (up to calculus I), microbiology, pharmacology, and psychology. I enjoy all things learning and doing all things science.
I tutor students from elementary school to college.
My approach is largely problem-based. That is I will go right into walking you through problem sets after a very brief overview of the topic(s) of concern. Engaging you early in problem-solving allows me to more accurately assess your level of understanding and to be more effective with my teaching. Once I have mapped out your problem areas, we will take deeper dive into the concepts you need to better understand. This will allow you to get very efficient, focused and personal learning.
