About Gustavo
A Brazilian-Japanese diaspora person, now living in Glasgow, Scotland. I've studied here in 2014 as a visiting undergraduate student and after 10 years of coming and going, I'm finally living in the UK.
With a versatile scientific background, I'm an Ecologist turned Linguist. I teach English and Brazilian Portuguese, focused on a communicative approach and hand-tailored to your needs.

I teach with a communicative approach, focusing on your goals, rather for travelling, for your visa or academic application. I was trained in Yázigi, Unicamp, Cultura Inglesa, with a London Trinity College CertTESOL certification. Privately, I taught graduate students from Unifesp and also general English students. Most recently, I got quite keen to also focus on pronunciation awareness.
My classroom is a safe space for LGBTQIAP+, BIPOC/BAME people.
After a Needs Analysis, we create together a 8-week plan for your goals in English or Portuguese learning.
Usually, lessons occur once a week, in groups of maximum 4 people. For personal lessons the fee is 30% higher.
