About Richard
With a degree from McGill University in Bio-Organic Chemistry, I have been teaching ESL since I was 16. Since then, I have taught ESL to students all over the world, from Shanghai, China, to Toronto, Canada, to San Francisco, USA. I have experience teaching a range of ages, from 3 years old to adults.

My main focus in an effective teaching environment is to be flexible. Different students respond to different methods of teaching, and I try to have a combination of teaching styles within the structure of my lessons. I always have visual aids as well as physical/tactile props to supplement my verbal instructions. Commonly, I employ Kinesthetic Learning because I find that it is able to maintain student interest for longer periods of time.
