About Mariah
I have been teaching for eight years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Colorado. I have also been tutoring for four years. I love Math, especially Algebra. I can help you understand Math from Elementary through college Algebra. I am fun and funny yet also smart and patient. I teach through modeling the “how’s and why’s” so that you can understand the problem and connect it to real world applications.

I make Math fun and can relate it to real life so students can understand how a solution works and how to apply it to problem solving. Math is like a puzzle and I can help you gain a sense of pride when you solve it. I’m patient and creative. I will work with you by modeling multiple strategies and explain step by step how the process works so that you understand not just memorize the algorithms.
