As a certified teacher and former literacy coach, my approach is all about meeting students where they are — then helping them rise. I use evidence-based strategies from the Science of Reading to build strong foundational skills while keeping lessons engaging, personalized, and encouraging. Each session is tailored to the student’s specific needs. A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in and warm-up (to activate prior knowledge), followed by direct instruction with guided practice. We wrap up with independent application and a mini-reflection so students leave feeling empowered and aware of their progress. What sets me apart? I’ve trained teachers on how to teach reading — so I don’t just tutor, I transform. I bring experience from both the classroom and coaching lens, using real data, real results, and a whole lot of heart. I work with students who need support in reading fluency, comprehension, writing, and academic confidence — including students with IEPs, ELLs, or those struggling with standardized test prep.
