About Cynthia
I am a former Pinellas County middle school teacher, certified in English, grades 6-12, and Mathematics, grades 5-9, including Algebra I.
Shortly after beginning to teach, I realized that my students often had a hard time relating to the lessons in the textbook so I began writing my own lessons for my classes. This led me to discover that I love writing curriculum.
After teaching for 10 years, I made the difficult decision to leave teaching in 2014 to pursue my career as a self-published author of language arts and mathematics lessons for grades 4-12. However, I soon realized that I miss working with students which led me to seek out students to tutor on a part-time basis. I have been tutoring math and language arts online and in person for over 2 years.
My experiences as a teacher and of writing teaching resources are what I believe will make me a great tutor for you or your child.
