About Savannah
First off, I am a certified teacher of 9 years in English, Social Studies, and Science. I also have a Bachelor’s in Business, a Master’s in Marketing, and a Master’s in Teaching. My passion for teaching took me to the classroom for a time, and then I taught for the largest Charter School in the US. I am well versed in all grade levels and all subjects due to teaching for a charter. In addition to that, I have worked in the education field in various forms for the past 9+ years. I am married to a wonderful guy, and recently became a new mom to a beautiful little girl (she is two now but it still feels new). I enjoy family and friends, and I love to travel. We have traveled to over 20 countries and love experiencing the world. I enjoy trying new foods, enjoying family time, and having fun in the simple things in life. Through my years of teaching, I have created reading plans for the younger levels, worked on testing and writing skills with many grades, worked on ACT and GED prep, and so much more. I have done a bit of everything. I enjoy taking a student where they are and helping them grow to their fullest potential. I strive for students to not only succeed, but to believe in themselves. I like to make learning FUN! Education is something that is no longer valued as much in our society, and we need to correct that. Education unlocks the door to the future. If your student is struggling with any topic or you just want them to be engaged and learn about fun things, I would be glad to teach them a class. I look forward to it!

I always meet students where they are and build a plan. I have a method I base things on and then adapt to your student. I have seen hundreds of students in just the last year grow in writing! My goal is to connect with your student, engage them in learning, and give them the tools they need to thrive in writing. I cover everything from grammar basics to full research papers. I will always give you a plan for our sessions, keep you up to date on progress, and give work to do at home that I will edit and give feedback on. My experience and expertise sets me apart as a tutor. Not only do I have two Master's degrees, I have been teaching English and writing in schools and to students for over a decade: at all levels. I teach mainly middle and high school, but I am open to tutoring lower grade levels. I do my best to engage the students and make learning fun for them!
