About Julie

Julie started dancing in 2005.

She holds 2 dance certifications (Urban dances and Brazilian Zouk obtained in Paris) as well as a teacher's degree and a certification in Facilitation, obtained in Canada.

Since 2020, Julie has been teaching across Europe, Brazil, Canada, and now the U.S. — carrying one purpose: to pass on the joy, the depth, and the living culture of Zouk and Lambada in festivals and workshops.

Currently based in BOSTON, she teaches group and private classes.

In her workshops, she builds spaces where the somatic and the technical sit in the same breath, and where students leave not just knowing more steps but feeling more like themselves.

More on Julie's Journey:

Julie started to teach dance (urban styles and then Brazilian Zouk) in Paris in 2015. From 2019, she competes as a leader in Zouk Jack & Jill competitions across Europe, Canada, and now the U.S.

She makes first place multiple times and becomes the first woman in the world to win first place as a leader. She’s now in the advanced division.

In 2020, she creates the R'N'B into Zouk methodology to teach students how to mix elements of Hip-Hop and Zouk and unleash their creativity for playful, fun, and authentic dances.

She also presents Authentic Zouk as a journey to embody grounding, connection, consent, and freedom of expression.

In 2021, she moves to Berlin and brings the dance community back to life, holding regular intensives and supporting dancers through private coaching.

From 2022, she dives deeper into the origin of Brazilian Zouk by learning Lambada. She goes live in Brazil for two 4-month intervals to focus on Lambada and develop her urban training into Zouk. She gains a deeper awareness of the Brazilian culture which she now integrates into her teaching curriculum.

In early 2023, she competes in Brazuka 3, the famous Lambada festival of Porto Seguro, and is now a certified J & J judge.

How I teach

My lessons move between somatic and technical knowledge — because we learn better associating technique with self-awareness of our bodies.

My background in teaching solo dance shaped a holistic way of teaching partner dancing, such as Zouk, Lambada, or even BachaZouk by integrating the whole body into my students' learning process.

What a lesson with me looks like

Every class splits evenly between lead and follow — neither role gets left aside.

I calibrate the amount of detail to where my student starts: their physical capacity, their attention span, their learning background. From there, we build self-confidence, trust, and the ability to co-create.

What sets me apart

Over ten years of experience in the classroom has built my teaching to be adaptive, fun, student-focused, and constantly supporting individual growth

Who these lessons are for

My lessons are for Every BODY — every physical capacity, every learning background, every pace of attention. They're for dancers in either role who want to be given the same depth of detail and the same respect for their part in the dance.

If you're looking for connection, and a teacher that prioritizes collaboration, growth, and self-expression as much as technique — this is your space.
