About Connor
Hi there.
My name is Connor and I am a certified and licensed teacher in Ontario and the UK.
I have a degree in history from Western University and a degree in education from the University of Windsor.
While my specialty subjects are history and geography, I am also more than comfortable teaching English at any level and every subject for grade 7 and lower.

My lessons have always followed a "tight but loose" strategy which involves structure, but allows for the lesson to move in a different direction if it is productive.
I am a big believer in using certain teaching techniques in order to encourage students to discover what interests them the most. There are the basics that everyone needs to be taught, but part of education is finding what you are passionate in and then using the basic skills which the education system, their parents, and their teachers have given them.
An example of this is in my main field of history is allowing time for students to takle a step back from the normal curriculum of Canadian history and use the historical inquiry skills they have acquired in order to learn about things that interest them most.
