About Sonia
Hi again! Here's a little bit more about me. As you know from my lessons tab, I’m Victoria, a fluent English, Spanish, and German speaker, Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar & Mentor, Grant-Winner, National Hispanic Scholar, *certified* coach, private teacher/tutor, and a multi-hyphenate artist. It's a fancy way of saying I'm a jack of all trades, master (in progress) of most!
As I'm part of an international, multicultural family, I spent much of my life divvied up between Spain, Germany, NY, and NJ. I'm a first-generation Hispanic American eager to be the person I wish I had as a kid.
I’m proud to say I’ve been tutoring professionally for nearly half a decade, hosting over 1000 lessons with a 100% satisfaction rate both independently and on various platforms. I'd love to work with you next!

Hi! I’m Victoria, an early grad from NYU Tisch majoring in Drama with a double minor in Business and Producing. I’m a fluent English, Spanish, and German speaker, Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar & Mentor, National Hispanic Scholar, *certified* coach, and private teacher/tutor. I’m proud to say I’ve been tutoring professionally for nearly half a decade, hosting over 1000 lessons with a 100% satisfaction rate.
I teach/tutor grades K-12 at any level, and coach/mentor folks of all ages. My most popular subjects currently are English Language Arts, College Prep & Strategy, Essay Writing, ACT Prep, Spanish, English as a Second Language/ESL, and Film & Theater/Auditioning in the Industry.
As a top-rated tutor with consistent results, I believe my experience, enthusiasm, and engagement set me apart. I don’t subscribe to the belief that learning is strict and linear. Instead, I recognize and embrace different learning styles and employ innovative exercises and tactics to tailor each lesson to best fit each student’s needs and goals. To me, tutoring is about creating a fun, safe space for dialogue and growth!
The proof is in the pudding! My students and their incredible results speak for themselves—I have Kindergarteners reading at 1st-3rd grade levels, native English speakers holding full conversations in Spanish, AP Spanish students scoring 4s and 5s on their exams, college applicants getting into their top schools and programs through schedules that work with them, and students who are new to tutoring getting excited about learning!
