About Cheri
Hello! My name is Cheri and I would love the opportunity to work with you soon! I am from Florida and have taught there for 4 years. I love it dearly, and find that filling my time with tutoring keeps both me and my students fresh year-round. In my free time, I love listening to and creating music, doing puzzles, and I am slowly finding more time to get back into reading.

I believe that every student learns in a way that is as different as they are from everyone else. I create personalized lesson plan adaptations, working with current learning materials to deepen understanding as opposed to rote memorization. Taking time to warm up the brain and build connection with each student during each session. Reteaching the topic of the session, walking students through trial problems to recognize patterns of mistake or misunderstanding. Reframing the problems at hand, and quizzing along the way. Working together progressively building on what was learned in previous lessons, the student will grow in understanding of the materials, and hopefully in an appreciation for the subject.
