About Tom
I started my teaching career in New York State where I was the head of the math department and taught all grades 6 through 12 at various times. I have been teaching in North Carolina for the past 18 years in both middle school and high school.

I can supplement what is being taught in your student's classroom, providing one on one help to explain concepts or to expand on the ideas they are studying to help close any gaps that might exist. I can also reteach past concepts that are not thoroughly understood to help a student feel more comfortable in the classroom. I have experience teaching every grade level 6 through 12. My 30 years of experience help me to quickly problem solve the best ways to reach a student where they are, and help get them to where they need to be.
