About Francis
I am a certified ESL teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and a minor in psychology. I have experience leading and facilitating multiple in-person and online ESL classes and am confidant in my abilities to teach English. I also have several years of professional experience working in both federal and provincial government.

I strongly believe that in order to students to learn, they must be engaged in the learning process. For this reason, I focus my classrooms in a way that is student-centered. I encourage students to take part of my classrooms by asking them to suggest topics, ask questions, participate in discussions, present information, etc. I also believe in a classroom that utilizes different methods of teaching which target different ways of learning (visual, oral, kinesthetic, etc). I also believe classrooms should incorporate activities that focus on different communication skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing).
