About Jason
I am a native English speaker with a University degree in English Literature, a minor in Creative Writing, and with two TESL certificates. I have taught Business English classes to working adults, I have privately tutored kids and teens, and I've coached adults privately. I have also taught ESL in high-school in Montreal and in China.

I am a very patient individual who will adapt my lessons to your needs and desires. Our first meeting will be aimed at deciding which skills and elements of the English language we will work on. I believe in lots of exposure to English (listening, watching, reading etc), on your time and/or in class together. I also believe in my students doing a lot of speaking; while I pay attention to your 'fluency' AND 'accuracy'. My task will be to make ongoing corrections to habitual 'errors', while offering basic grammar instruction when needed. My approach is improving in steps, making sure you are comfortable, not overwhelmed, while being inspired. Again, the lessons are for your benefit, so we will focus on your primary wants and needs; and improve them.
