I provide structured, personalized tutoring focused on strengthening reading, writing, grammar, and essay skills while building confidence and independence. My approach is clear, supportive, and standards-aligned. Each lesson is purposeful and tailored to the student’s needs, with consistent feedback and measurable progress. My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual needs. I begin by identifying the student’s goals, strengths, and areas of need, then use targeted strategies such as close reading, guided writing, modeling, and scaffolded practice to build skills and confidence.
A typical lesson includes a brief review, direct instruction on one focused skill, guided practice, and independent application with feedback. I align lessons to grade-level standards and classroom expectations.
What sets me apart is my background as a certified English teacher and school administrator. I understand how students are assessed and how to help them succeed. I work with middle and high school students, including Honors-level learners and students with IEPs or 504 plans.
