About Mya
Hello! My name is Mya Anderson and I have been teaching English online and in person for four years. I first started teaching English after recieving my TEFL certificate in Slovakia, though now I teach at a language institute in Hungary. Though Iam currently living in Hungary, I was born and raised in the US and therefore am a native speaker. I love teaching English and find pride in the profession, though after work I also love socializing with my friends, listening to a range of music genres, crocheting, and journaling. I'm also an avid traveler and am always looking for a new place to explore!

I have taught students of various ages, English levels, and backgrounds, and my classes are structured as such to help the individual learner reach their personal language goals. I organize my classes based on the learning objectives of each student, though I specialize in conversational English. My objective for each class is to create a safe learning environment in which you are able to make mistakes and grow from them. My lesson plans differ based on the student, so someone preparing for a language test would get a more test-based lesson as opposed to someone preparing to move abroad. I would be more than happy to take on the role of your English teacher and I hope to meet you soon!
