About Christina
I am an educator driven by a deep passion for helping children grow in confidence and reach their full academic potential. My professional journey began in social work and criminal law, where I developed a strong foundation in advocacy, communication, and supporting individuals through complex challenges. While this work was meaningful, I found myself most fulfilled when I was guiding, mentoring, and empowering others to succeed—especially young people.
This realization led me to pursue a career in education, where I could make a more direct and lasting impact. As a teacher, I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s unique needs. I believe that every child is capable of success when given the right tools, encouragement, and understanding.
My background has given me a patient, empathetic approach and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. I am a dedicated educator with a passion for helping elementary students build strong academic foundations across math, science, language arts, and social studies. I understand that every child learns differently, which is why I use a patient, personalized approach to meet each student where they are and guide them toward confidence and success.
My teaching style focuses on making learning engaging, interactive, and meaningful. Whether I’m breaking down a tricky math concept, exploring scientific ideas through real-world examples, strengthening reading and writing skills, or bringing history to life through storytelling, I strive to make each session both effective and enjoyable. I don’t just help students complete assignments—I help them truly understand the material so they can apply it independently.
