About Emily
I have almost 10 years of experience as a special education teacher in public and private middle schools. I've worked in general education math classrooms and have also taught my own small group math classes. I enjoy working with students to develop a love of math and confidence about their math skills.

I can teach, reinforce, and review math concepts from 5th grade through Algebra I. We will work to "warm up" our math skills together, I will teach a new concept conceptually, and we will practice that concept together. I always make sure to include real-world applications of the math concept so that students can see why we are learning about it. My experience teaching multiple grade levels helps me understand how certain concepts will be taught and utilized through a student's math career.
