About Janine
Growing up I struggled in school and became a teacher to show students the love and support I had over the years. I remember every single teacher from Elementary. I remember their patience with me and their kind words of encouragement. I have brought that with me into every new year. Over my almost 11 years I have seen 100's of students grow into strong confident learners. Watching their face when they read on their own for the first time, understanding a new math concept or making real world connections reminds me of why I teach.

I have taught kindergarten and first grade for almost 11 years now. Providing a safe and calm environment for learning is key. Building confidence and providing opportunities to grow in many skill levels is part of my job as an educator. I have three children of my own (6 yo, 4 yo, 6 mo). I am patient and build report with my students. Finding a way suitable for their individual needs is key. I have planned lessons, assessments and interventions for my students based on their strengths. I have created opportunities for each student to build upon their skills through one-on-one instruction, small group instruction and whole group.
