About Adela

Folks holding down full-time jobs often find the most success when they stop trying to be perfect and start playing with intention. Over the last 3 years, I have helped students navigate the complexities of music theory and songwriting while balancing their heavy outside commitments. My approach draws on a deep reverence for blues traditions, guiding you through barre chords, power chords, and complex lead guitar parts. Seeing someone finally nail those nuanced blues progressions after a long day at the office is the best part of this job.

About the lesson

You will start by grounding your hands in the tradition of Robert Johnson and Buddy Guy before we move into specific strumming patterns. Because keeping momentum is vital, I include a 7.0 practice module with every single session to bridge the gap between our meetings. I do not rely on scripts during our time together, so if a particular technique needs more attention, we pivot immediately to focus on your progress. It feels a lot like sitting on a porch trading licks, where we break down the rhythm and soul of the blues until it makes sense under your fingers.
