About Emma
Hi! My name is Emma! I have a BA in Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Leeds and a Level 5 CertTESOL qualification from Trinity College London. As a multilingual individual, who speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese I love learning languages and am passionate about helping others develop their proficiency in English!
I have spent the past two years teaching English as a foreign language in Colombian bilingual schools from preschool to year 11 students from pre-A1 to C1, preparing students for their Cambridge English examinations from pre-A1 Starters to IELTS.
I also have 5 years of experience as an English tutor, providing 1-1 or small group tutoring services to children and adults, both online and in-person.

My teaching style is friendly and relaxed, my classes are highly customisable and can be tailored to your needs and interests!
I have experience teaching adults of all abilities, from pre-A1 beginner to advanced C1, and will conduct lessons according to your language proficiency.
In our first session, we will get to know each other better and I will assess your current language level and discuss your language goals and motivations to decide which teaching methods and lesson types work best for you!
For example, if you were an intermediate learner looking specifically to improve speaking proficiency, I could create a series of topic-based conversation classes to promote oral practice and teach useful idioms and phrasal verbs that are used often in conversational English!
