About Ruth
I received my Bachelor’s of music in cello performance from Frost School of Music, University of Miami and my Master's in music performance from Penn State University, where I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for cello. I have been teaching for 6+ years both privately at all levels and at the collegiate level with Penn State. I am working now as a cellist based in NYC, incorporating chamber music, gigging, teaching, and further study as I grow my network.

I love to work with each student individually in lessons according to their goals and learning styles. Communication is key, and I love to find what methods of communication work best for my student's music learning. I love playing the cello and want to pass that on most of all!
