About Michaela

My name is Michaela Tsuen. I have worked in the jewellery and sales industry for a few years now and I've decided it's time for a change.

I received my TEFL certificate a few years ago when I wanted to become a foreign language teacher in Korea. Life got in the way, but I'm ready to teach students the English language.

I have a bachelors degree in Bmus (specialising in Dance Research). Whilst at University, I majored in Dance, but I also took Classics; Dance Notation; Musicology; and Dance Teaching Method.

In my spare time, I love doing pottery. I find it extremely rewarding!

I am easy-going; reliable; hard-working; and friendly.

I would love to get to know you while learning the English language.

About the lesson

English is the name of my game. I prefer having conversations about what interests you. For me, talking one on one is more beneficial than textbook reading if you're wanting to get comfortable with the language.

We will talk about current affairs; music; movies; books; hobbies etc. I want you to feel comfortable around me. I will never criticise you for trying, because it took you courage to learn this language!

If you'd like a more structured class plan, I am happy to prepare lessons and conversations beforehand for you to review before your lessons.

I look forward to meeting you!
