About Soham
I am a 3rd year Chemical Engineering undergraduate student at UTP. Chemical Engineering is a discipline that applies mathematics and science extensively, especially calculus, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics to solve real-world problems and design efficient systems. I have taught students for 6 months as a personal tutor, both face-to-face and online. I am patient, structured, and focused on building strong fundamentals while helping students develop confidence in problem-solving. I believe consistent practice and proper guidance lead to real improvement.
I am currently expanding my journey toward becoming a professional tutor, and I am starting small while continuously improving my teaching methods and approach. Feel free to reach out if you are looking for guidance, I would be glad to support your learning.

My teaching approach is designed to help you build strong fundamentals and really understand what you are learning, not just memorise steps.
In each lesson, we start with the core concept explained clearly and simply. I will then show worked examples so you can see how the idea is applied in real questions. After that, I will guide you through similar examples where you try the steps with my support. Once you're comfortable, you'll move on to practice questions, followed by more challenging problems that help you develop critical thinking and exam confidence.
I also make sure there is consistent revision built into lessons so that what you learn doesn’t fade over time. We will revisit key ideas regularly to strengthen your understanding and speed.
Most importantly, I focus on showing you the “why” behind every concept, not just the “how”. This helps you understand what is actually happening, so you can handle unfamiliar questions with confidence instead of depending on memorised methods.
Everything is adjusted to your pace, so you can learn comfortably, ask questions freely, and steadily improve over time.
