About Alex
I am a third-year Ph.D. student at Rutgers University studying atmospheric science. I conduct research into extreme weather events, specifically the large-scale meteorological and physical processes that influence extreme heat. In addition to my prior roles as both a graduate and undergraduate teaching assistant, I also served as the training committee head for Maryland campus tour guides, tutoring prospective tour guides in how to communicate and interact with students.

Each session, I will come equipped with practice problems tailor-made for your individual tutoring needs. Once the student has a little time (5-10 minutes) to review the questions, we will work through them together while also enforcing the conceptual aspect of the material. I will allow time at the end of the session for any questions and material the student needs more help with. What sets me apart from others is that I make a conscious effort for personalization in both my lessons and my relationship with the student. My lessons will be targeted for anyone in the middle school to high school range who needs extra assistance in math or physics.
