About Vuyo
I am a Ph.D. student in the catalysis research group. I have been involved with undergraduate chemistry for the last few years, as a demonstrator and teaching assistant in the school of chemistry and physics at UKZN. My communication skills strengthened as I challenged myself to understand and respond to students’ questions while they tackled complex chemistry concepts. Being an SI leader and a TA gave me experience in teaching students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. I also embraced and supported teamwork, utilizing student feedback to improve my performance and encouraging students to engage each other in their learning.
