About Waaliyah Nanungi
I have many interests outside of my school subjects. I'm an avid anime watcher and manga reader - one of my favourite pastimes is to write analytical essays about the themes and characters of different series. Two of my current favourites are Vinland Saga and Jujutsu Kaisen.
I am a casual fan of the works of Maynard James Keenan and Janelle Monae (separately).
I am currently enjoying the works of the creative label PERIMETRON and am an even bigger fan of millennium parade - please ask me about them.
As I am yet to go to university, I also spend a lot of time learning about mathematical concepts through resources on the internet - through youtube videos and published papers.
Generally speaking, I am a person who wants to know a lot about many things and I dedicate time to this - hopefully this reflects in the small range of things I listed above.

Whenever I learn something, I do my best to learn it from first principles so that my understanding is comprehensive. When I teach things, I aim to achieve the same in my students because to understand is better than merely knowing.
Rather than explaining things over, or repeating information to a student, my main goal is to fill in the gaps in their understanding. I take an active approach to learning, where I ask questions that students can answer for themselves in order to develop their own understanding.
I took advantage of my talent of maths from a young age and have been tutoring up to GCSE under the guidance of a small family business for 6 years and recently started tutoring mathematics up to A-Level independently. This has blossomed into a passion for maths and teaching that fuels my work as a tutor.
