About Paulina
I've been a tutor since 2009, when I would tutor my peers in math and chemistry. I took a small break between 2018 and 2020 to focus on my PhD in Materials Science (Cantab.), but I've taught math and science to more than 20 students. I've managed to convince a handful of skeptics that math and chemistry are fun.

Math and science can be frustrating to a student who struggles with them, and I have found that kindness and patience are key in getting a student to succeed. I try and find a student's learning style and interest to help them grasp the concepts at hand. A normal session would begin with working through some coursework and finding patterns of errors that we'd focus on for the rest of the lesson.

My rate for chemistry tutoring is £30 per hour.
My rate for a specialized subject (ie advanced mathematics or organic chemistry) is £40 per hour. These subjects require additional preparatory time
My base rate is open to negotiation.
