About Anastasios
I'm Dr Anastasios Karamanos. I hold a PhD from the University of Cambridge and an MEng from Imperial College London, and I have spent 11 years teaching Maths and Physics to students preparing for international and UK exams.
WHAT I TEACH
IB Maths Analysis & Approaches (HL/SL), IB Maths Applications & Interpretation (HL/SL), IB Physics (HL/SL), IB Business Management, AS and A-Level Maths and Physics, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics, AP Precalculus, ESAT Maths and Physics, MYP Maths and Physics, GCSE and IGCSE Maths and Physics.

I have taught 80+ students in the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UAE. Recent outcomes include:
- IB Maths A&A HL: 5 to 7 in six months
- IB Physics HL: 3 to 6

Every lesson is taught by me personally. No assistants, no group classes.
Real progress needs real one-to-one attention, and that means the same tutor every week who remembers where you struggled last time.
Having taught these syllabuses for over a decade, I know how each one is examined, where students consistently lose marks, and what examiners want to see in the answers that earn full credit. That is usually the difference between a student who understands the material and a student who scores well on it.
Lessons run over Zoom and work on a laptop, tablet or phone. If you can make a video call, you can take a lesson.
I am based in Europe and teach in European time zones, seven days a week, including evenings and weekends, so we can fit around school, sport and family time.

WHAT HAPPENS FIRST
I offer a free 45-minute needs assessment session. In it I work out the student's current level, find the specific gaps holding them back, and build a plan to their target grade. There is no obligation and parents are welcome to sit in.
Most students notice more confidence within two or three sessions. Measurable grade improvement usually shows within four to six weeks.
There are no long-term contracts. You can book a single session or a full semester.
