About Josh
I have recently completed my studies at Masters level at the University of Cambridge, but have been tutoring for the past 5 years for a range of levels from pre-GCSE to Undergraduate. In my lessons I pride myself on exiting the typical rigidity which goes with learning and bringing some vitality into what I teach- I offer to tutor by 'showing' not 'telling'

My teaching method centres on a more conversational style of learning which I have uniquely adapted from the latest techniques in teaching English as a foreign language. My aim is to teach my students how to teach themselves through equiping them with the right questions to ask and the underlying 'grammar' that lets them get to grips with the aims of a given topic or field. My conversational methodology keeps our sessions from lapsing into the dry memorisation typical of much learning today, and keeps the taught information applicable and relevant to the everyday, helping to consolidate with and without dedicated revision sessions.
