About Emma
Hi, I'm Emma, and I've just graduated from studying Maths at Cambridge.
I love Maths and Physics, and I wholeheartedly believe that everyone deserves a good education, and to be able to achieve the best that they can.
I got on well with Maths in school and university, so I know my stuff. But I know that's not the same for everyone - often due to poor teaching and a lack of attention to your needs. I spent a lot of my time in Maths lessons growing up teaching and helping my peers where the teacher failed, and I continued this outside of the classroom in a series of mentoring arrangements. I went on to tutor Maths and Physics A level during university Summers.
Now that I've graduated university and have time to spare, I want to pick this back up. I want to keep helping people understand and appreciate Maths and Physics the way I do.
I achieved four A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at A level.
I gained 11 A*s or equivalent at GCSE, including: 9s in Maths, English Literature, and English Language; A*s in Computer Science and Triple Science; and A* with distinction in Further Maths.
In STEP, the Cambridge Maths entrance exams, I outperformed my offer to obtain grades S and 1 (similar scoring system to A* and A).
I also competed in UKMT Maths Challenges and Olympiads throughout my time at secondary school, including coming top 10 in the UK with a near perfect 49/50 in the 2018 Maths Olympiad for Girls. I participated in a UKMT Summer School in 2016, and returned in 2019 as a mentor.
I am also a volunteer with Girlguiding UK, so have plenty of experience working with kids. For this, I have an enhanced DBS check (which I can show you a copy of should you wish) so you can be assured that I am trustworthy and safe.

Hi, I'm Emma, and I've just graduated from studying Maths at Cambridge.
I provide online tutoring in Maths and Physics at any level from KS2 to A level (including 11+, KS3, and GCSE). I also offer extracurricular Maths tutoring, for example for UKMT competitions or university entrance exams, or just stretching talented pupils. I am happy to tutor pupils of any age provided they wish to study material of this level.
I am flexible to suit your needs, so we can meet in whatever timescale works for you or the pupil. For example, one hour once a week could be right for A level students. I offer my tutoring online, so can tutor in any area of the UK.
I am friendly and understanding, and able to explain concepts simply. I recognise that pupils may come from many different backgrounds, and my ultimate drivers are a love of maths and a belief that everyone deserves a good education.
I have experience tutoring Maths and Physics at A level, and have mentored pupils in Maths ranging in level from year 5 to GCSE to university entrance exams. In 2019, I mentored talented pupils in extracurricular Maths at a UKMT (UK Maths Trust) Summer School.
