Alexander's relentlessly enthusiastic approach to tutoring chemistry helped me massively with my struggles in A level chemistry, helping me achieve an A* from a predicted B. Al understands the subject with the clarity you would expect from a highly achieving Cambridge Natural Sciences student, he especially helped me with organic chemistry- tackling reaction mechanisms in an intuitive way not made clear by school. There was a clear focus on the underlying science as opposed to memorising arbitrary rules. He also especially helped with kinetics, with useful mnemonics that made entropy and Gibbs free energy easy. A Ballard is an excellent young mind and friend- but foremost a teacher who i hold in utmost regard.
