About Bridie
Hi there! I am an English native speaker based in Oxford. I have a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Cambridge, and I am a qualified Spanish teacher. I am currently studying for a part-time masters in research design at the University of Oxford, whilst working part-time as a consultant.

As someone who has learned foreign languages myself, I know how invaluable it is to be able to practice normal conversation with a native speaker who is patient and willing to correct your mistakes. We can chat informally like friends, or we can focus on something specific such as your work or an upcoming presentation/interview. What's important to me is that you are comfortable and able to build your confidence.
I like to keep notes of specific things my students struggle with, whether that's particular grammar points or pronunciation. This enables us to revisit certain topics where you can practice getting it right, and I can remind you when you get it wrong. Remember, it's normal to make the same mistakes again and again out of habit! That's why it's essential to have someone point them out and help embed the correct grammar or pronunciation.
