About Amie
I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge where I studied Engineeing. Prior to university I achieved A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and an A in Chemistry A-levels.
I have tutoring experience since 2017 where I tutored KS3, GCSE and A-Level maths through a tutoring company, and in 2024 I began offering private tutoring.
Qualifications: A* in maths, further maths and physics and an A in chemistry, and achieved 12 A*-A grades at GCSE,

My teaching method is focused on developing understanding and confidence in approaching maths questions both in advance of exams, and close to exam deadlines.
Depending on whether the focus is specifically on examination preparation or general confidence I will either focus on working on techniques for approaching exam questions, and identifying methods the enable students to approach questions with confidence or on more general study of topics of weakness. I will gladly alter methods and find alternative explanations that make sense to students explaining topics that may have previously seemed impossible to understand, relating questions to real world and understood topics.
I have experience in working with students with disabilities across a range of ages, and am myself autistic, so am used to finding alternate explanations for topics, or innovative ways to recall methods.
I take particular pleasure in helping students who may have been lacking in confidence find an understanding of a topic and increase their confidence helping to reduce exam stresses.
