About Joan
Hello and welcome!
My name is Joan, and I am a passionate Mathematics and Science teacher with classroom teaching experience. I enjoy helping learners understand difficult concepts in a simple and enjoyable way. I believe that every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies.
I want to teach because I love seeing students grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals. There is nothing more rewarding than helping a learner overcome challenges, improve their understanding, and discover their potential.
In my lessons, I create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. My goal is not only to help you improve your grades but also to develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills that will benefit you throughout your education.

1. Diagnostic First Session- I start by understanding the learner's level, curriculum, confidence, and immediate academic goals.
2. Live Video Lessons- Sessions are taught online in real time, allowing learners to ask questions and work through problems with guidance.
3. Shared Digital Whiteboard-Maths steps, diagrams, and Science explanations are worked through visually so learners can follow the reasoning process.
4. Homework Support-Learners receive help unpacking assignments, correcting misunderstandings, and building independent problem-solving habits.
5. Parent Progress Updates-Parents receive regular updates on what was covered, what improved, and what needs attention next.
